Revision of the Jurassic Correlation chartStaff: J.C.W. Cope
Between 1971 and the early 1980s the Geological Society of London published a series of correlation charts with explanatory text for each of the geological systems that crop out in Britain. Continuing active research on much of the succession, on offshore geology, as well as in international correlation has made revision of many of the original charts a necessity, and publication of revised editions commenced in 1992. The Jurassic is one of those areas in which much progress has been made, and most of the revised charts have now been drafted with the text to accompany them being prepared.
