Visitors to Wales’s national museums keep growing
Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales often shares its collections with venues both home and abroad. And this autumn is no different as the French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist gallery at National Museum Cardiff feature two important loans from Germany, as part of an international exchange initiative.
Biodiversity in Wales can not be understood fully without understanding biodiversity in the global context. Further research on biodiversity will be undertaken by Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum of Wales at the end of the November when its entomologist and fly expert (dipterist) Dr Adrian Plant, from the natural history department at National Museum Cardiff, takes part in a three week scientific expedition to Chilean Patagonia.
David Jones occupies a unique place in twentieth-century British art, and is often called the greatest painter-poet since William Blake. A selection of work from Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales’ outstanding collection of works by the artist David Jones (1985-1974): Paintings and Watercolours will be on display at National Museum Cardiff from 5 November 2011 – 4 March 2012.
