Work Placements

Placements are a great way to gain on-the-job experience, explore career options, demonstrate initiative and develop skills further. Amgueddfa Cymru make a certain number of placements available every year, demand is always high and due to this we advertise all our placements in our Placement Current Opportunities. Successful applications are based on a clear match being identified between projects and the applicants’ objectives and studies. With seven national museums across Wales, our placements can cover a wealth of topics, such as Archaeology, Art, Conservation, Geology, History, etc.

Placements are always agreed for a fixed period of time (15-29 days) and involve a commitment of time by the applicant, usually during Monday to Friday office hours. The minimum age for placements is 18 and there is no upper age limit.
