At the National History Museum at St Fagans, we pride ourselves in providing good, quality food which is cooked on site using local, Welsh products whenever possible.

As part of the preparations for the Museum’s Redevelopment project, the Vale Restaurant is now closed. However, a new food outlet, Yr Odyn, has recently been opened. It is situated on the previous pottery site, where hot and cold food is served.

Cafe Bardi is situated in the Main Entrance Hall and serves a variety of home-made cakes, sandwiches, boxed salads and soup and also hot and cold drinks.

Gwalia Tea Rooms is a traditional 1930's tea room serving light lunches and afternoon teas.

Delicious additive-free, farm made Welsh ice cream and sorbets by Mary's Farmhouse are available within the Museum. These can be purchased at the Vale Restaurant, Cafe Bardi and at various locations around the site.

High-chairs are available at the above outlets.

There is also a picnic area just inside the open-air section, and the Museum’s bakery also sells delicious bread and snacks
