Spring Bulbs for Schools
Plant bulbs in your school grounds to study climate change. Join this UK wide investigation and improve science and numeracy skills. All schools must apply by the end of July to take part in the following September. Free to all schools in Wales -spaces limited.

Explore the gallery’s woodland habitat and learn about food chains and webs – pupils create food chains using real mounted animals and skeletons.
Get hands-on with bugs and spiders from our collections. Find out about adaptations, lifecycles and symmetry.
Skulls, teeth and bones
Explore our body and compare to skeletons and skulls, from dogs and sheep, to the more exotic tigers and elephants.

Compare two or more objects, and sort objects using a few different criteria.
In this 1 hour session children will have an opportunity to develop their chronological awareness by excavating layers of brightly coloured foam to reveal and handle objects from the past
In this 1 hour workshop pupils use hands on exploration of real museum specimens as inspiration to create their own shape poem

Learning resource - Fragile? exhibition
Fragile? is an exhibition about ceramics. Ceramics are objects that are made out of clay and then fired. We often think of those objects as being fragile, but this exhibition challenges that idea as well as giving us an insight into the different kinds of ceramics being made today.
This learning resource is designed to support teachers and educators. It includes support in planning a visit, exploring the exhibition and suggestions for things to do back in the classroom. It is primarily aimed at Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils but can be easily adapted for older or younger students.
