Construction
Moving the church to St Fagans: National History Museum from Pontarddulais was an ambitious and long-term project. This gallery charts the process, from the mid 1980s to the present.
The Church Building
It is no mean feat to move and re-build a medieval church. Get inside the building and have a look at the architecture, including the impressive hand carved oak roof.
Decoration Wall Paintings
The church is presented today as it may have looked in 1520. The wall paintings we found hidden underneath the plaster were painted around that date. Here is their story.

The church in Henry VIII's day would have served as much more than a place of worship, as it was also a centre for the local community. This diversity is reflected by the different objects, carvings and symbols found all over the building.
