Wales has many fascinating stories to tell through the work of the artists and collectors from, or inspired by, Wales. A number of these stories will be told in the new £6.5m National Museum of Art, which opened to the public on Saturday 9 July 2011.

Now there’s a chance to step back in time and experience life as a Gladiator at the National Roman Legion Museum, Caerleon in the Roman garden on Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 July, 10am-5pm.
National Museum Cardiff once again hosts Wildlife Photographer of the Year, from 18 June to 11 September 2011, in the newly opened Natural History galleries.
