Come Draw with Me! and with five acclaimed artists at National Museum Cardiff
This autumn there will be an opportunity to join five acclaimed artists for a unique drawing event at National Museum Cardiff on 8 November, 6.00-8.30pm. Join Brendan Stuart Burns, Laura Ford, Marega Palser, Stephen West and Sue Williams for an evening in the inspirational surroundings of the Impressionist and Modern Art galleries of National Museum Cardiff. The ticket price is £25, including materials and refreshments.
Talk on roman weapons and tools at Caerleon's National Roman Legion Museum
The Roman Smith and his role with the Roman Army will be discussed in a public lecture at the National Roman Legion Museum, Caerleon on Sunday 23 September at 2pm. Tickets are £3.50 but must be booked in advance by phoning 029 20573550.
Welshman's collection of British art on exhibit in Scotland
Welshman Derek Williams has been the greatest benefactor to Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales since Gwendoline and Margaret Davies. Now works from the Derek Williams Trust Collection are going to Scotland to be shown in a new exhibition at the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness in Orkney from Saturday 1st September – 17 November and at the City Art Centre in Edinburgh from 1st December until 24 February 2013.
St Fagans brings Haverfordwest Tudor trader's house back to life
A small late-medieval house from Haverfordwest is the latest building to be re-erected at St Fagans: National History Museum and will be officially opened to the public on Monday 2 July at 2pm.
Visitors will be welcomed into the house, as re-enactors use traditional skills to cook the first meal on the hearth, since the building's arrival at the museum.

The many remarkable artefacts discovered at Llyn Cerrig Bach near Valley on Anglesey 70 years ago will be exhibited at Oriel Ynys Môn this summer, thanks to a partnership between Amgueddfa Cymru and the Council’s Museums, Culture and Archives service.
