Numismatics: Projects and Publications
Over the past few years a number of coin hoards have been discovered in Wales. These include a collection of Roman coins from Bridgend, medieval coins from Llanfaes, Anglesey and a civil war hoard from Tregwynt. All of these have been the subject of study which will result in academic publications. Their importance has also been brought to the attention of a wider audience through lectures to local societies and other interested bodies.
As a general introduction to numismatics, we have also produced a guide to the subject Loose Change: a guide to common coins and medals.
