Archive Holdings in the Department of Archaeology & Numismatics
The Department of Archaeology & Numismatics, National Museum Wales holds research and archive collections spanning more than a century.
These include:
- Excavation archives,
- Photographs and illustrations relating to objects and excavations,
- A collection of Medieval brass and stone rubbings,
- Departmental business archive.
During essential building maintenance work from 2009 – 2011 these paper records will be inaccessible. Photographic requests for personal / academic research can still be made via Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales Picture Library.
Arrangements for access to the museum’s object collections remain unchanged.
