Welsh Baccalaureate Learning: National Waterfront Museum

The learning team is developing an expanding programme of talks, workshops and resources for self-led visits to address many the content requirements of the Core and Option choices for all levels of study within the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.
As part of National Museum Wales, coverage of Curriculum Cymreig is guaranteed.

A visit to the National Waterfront Museum will give candidates an appreciation of the heritage and culture of Wales and will help develop economic and industrial understanding of Welsh history.

The museum promotes ‘learning by doing’ and the use of new technologies to make learning more effective. It provides opportunities for candidates to acquire and practice a range of key skills through investigative research using the museum’s collections and interactive exhibits.

‘...the young people had the freedom to explore the museum’

‘...the pupils enjoyed the opportunity to find out information for themselves’
