The Victorian English Gentlemens Club were inspired by 'Melrose Abbey', the work of nineteenth century photographer Roger Fenton (1819 – 1869) which was on display as part of The Sight of Sound exhibition at National Museum Cardiff.
The band performed a set including their Respond track - 'Mr Fenton and his photo of Melrose Abbey' - live from the galleries in October 2009 as part of the SWN festival.
