Special Displays: 20th Century Art from Wales - National Museum Cardiff
A growing number of artists from Wales enjoyed professional success during the first half of the 20th century.
This gallery usually contains changing displays of their work and you can find details of these under events and exhibitions.
The Museum’s collections are particularly strong in the work of 20th century artists from Wales, and those that made their home here, and we are a centre for the study of their work.
These artists include the brother and sister Augustus John and Gwen John, the painter and poet David Jones, the surrealist Ceri Richards, and many others.
Changing displays explore aspects of their work and the broader story of the visual arts in Wales during this time.
