The Clore Discovery Centre is a unique 'hands on' learning space within the National Museum Cardiff. Explore hundreds of museum objects from across the museum's collections, from dinosaur bones to exotic insects, Roman artefacts to ancient pigments. This wealth of real museum objects is perfect for learning through exploration and discovery. The opportunity to engage with these objects makes for a stimulating learning experience.

The gallery can be booked for self led visits. We recommend visiting the centre yourself beforehand to see how our collections can compliment your learning objectives.

Alternatively you can book one of our more structured sessions led by a member of the learning department. Click on the headings below for information on each workshop.
