Family Workshops Learning: National Museum Cardiff



2pm every Saturday and Sunday (term time)
11am - 4pm every day during school holidays

Join us to find out more about anything from fossils, dinosaurs, plants, animals or life in the past. Sessions will vary but usually include a finding-out part and a making activity.

Workshops include:

Animal Masks

Explore some animals from our collections and make your own animal mask to take home.Wildlife Detective

Just because we can't see wildlife doesn't mean it isn't there. Learn to read the clues that animals leave behind and make your own footprint stamp.

Celtic Art

Explore Celtic history by looking at Celtic designs and symbols; learn to draw your own Celtic symbols.

Feathered dinosaurs

What might these important creatures have looked like? Tell us what you think and make your own feathered dinosaur to take home.

Recycled Jewellery

Find out about the changing styles of jewellery throughout history and try out our funky take on recycling to make some cool jewellery.

Creating Colour

Take inspiration from paintings in the Museum. Explore how artists experiment with colour and make your own work of art.
