Explore the Sea Floor moves once more!
The Explore the Sea Floor exhibition has moved to Kettering Museum following a successful time at the Kew Bridge Steam Museum. There is plenty of display space at Kettering which has allowed extra specimens to travel with the exhibition this time. The exhibition will be on display from 7th March to 12th April. Click here for more information about Kettering museums.

Explore the Sea Floor exhibition on the move!
The exhibition moved to the Kew Bridge Steam Museum in Brentford, Middlesex on the 7th January despite the high winds blowing the van about! The exhibition will be on display from 9th January to 2nd March 2008.

Explore the Sea Floor reaches further!
Explore the Sea Floor was present at the Association for Science Education Conference in Liverpool at the beginning of January. The project was met with enthusiasm from teachers and it is hoped that many more schools will use the resources in their classrooms.

Explore the Sea Floor visits a wharf!
The education officers for Explore the Sea Floor (Lara Murphy) and the Mineral Wealth- Seabed Health project run by the Marine Biological Association and National Marine Aquarium Plymouth (Lauren Taylor) visited Burnley Wharf in Southampton to have a close look at an aggregate dredger and see the aggregate being discharged to the wharf. It was very interesting to go on board and see first hand how marine aggregates are discharged onto land.
Many thanks to Mark Russell of BMAPA, Rob Langdon of Hanson and all on the City of London dredger for a very informative visit.
