Early Wales

Understanding 230,000 years of human activity in Wales lies at the core of all of our research programming. Investigations of how our ancestors lived and died, based on the evidence that they left behind, range from in-depth analyses of artefacts, sites and monuments, inscriptions and human remains, to refining chronologies and revising past interpretations. We use a variety of methods to place the archaeological evidence into a wider physical and social context, aimed at the non-specialist through popular syntheses to peer-reviewed reports.
