The Winner Takes It All

We are looking for entries in poetry and art that have been inspired by Rome and the Ancient Games.

Enter an Olympic themed picture or poem into our competition to win tickets to Empire: A Roman Spectacular on 18 & 19 August 2012.

There are family tickets (2 adults, 3 children) available to win for both poetry and art entries, with under 14 and 14 and over age group categories.

Competition Rules

1. You must have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to take part. Winning entries will be displayed on our website. If selected as a finalist, you agree to allow Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales to use your entry for display and promotional purposes.
2. The closing date for entries to be submitted is Friday 27 July 2012. Entries sent to us will not be returned.
3. No entries submitted after the closing date will be considered for the competition.
4. This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom, excluding Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales staff, their immediate families and any companies that have a direct link to this competition.
5. There is no cash alternative to the prizes available.
6. The winning entry will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the National Roman Legion Museum. The judges’ decision will be final.
7. The winner will be informed by a telephone call.
8. Amgueddfa Cymru will only use competitors’ personal information for the purposes of this competition, and will not use this data for any other purpose. Amgueddfa Cymru will destroy all personal data which they receive during the competition once the competition is over. All personal data will be dealt with following the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and will not be shared with any third party without obtaining permission in advance.
9. This competition is organized and promoted by Amgueddfa Cymru and any enquiries or complaints regarding the competition should be addressed to the Museum Manager at the above address.
