Becoming Modern by Simon Grennan & Christopher Sperandio

Becoming Modern by international artist duo Grennan & Sperandio presents contemporary paintings inspired by the collections and travel journals of Gwendoline and Margaret Davies, who bequeathed their art collection to the National Museum. From 27 September - 16 November these compelling and puzzling paintings pose questions about the birth of modernity and our 21st century view of art from the past.

Becoming Modern was organised originally as part of Celf Cymru Gyfan - ArtShare Wales and was generously supported by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and the Gwendoline and Margaret Davies Charity.
