Samhain

This event has finished. 31 Oct 2011, 6-8pm
Samhain at the National Roman Legion Museum

The night when ghouls and spirits roam the earth. Many of them have found their way to the Museum - dare you face them?

Be a Roman traveller and try and cross the legendary river Styx, but watch out for the horror that lurks within!

Come and meet our real snake, Monty. He won't bite but he might just give you a hug you'll never forget.

Listen to a selection of stories - readings of the ‘Gruffalo’ or ‘Room on the Broom’ for younger children, and something a little scarier for the older ones! Why not make a ‘monster-mash’ to take home with you?

Face your fears in our scary room, ‘The Sacrifice’, or find out about ‘Messy Medicine’ with Doctor Severus. Just don't get too close!

Watch our ‘Spooky Science’ show and make something to take home.

We have plenty of games to play, food and drink to enjoy and don’t forget the prize fancy dress competition to round off the evening.

If you’re looking for a horrifically good evening for the family – look no further!

The Sacrifice is not recommended for small children and those of a nervous disposition.

Small extra charge for food and drink.
