This event has finished. 22 Mar 2010,
6-8pm
Celtic women have been viewed as symbols of freedom, objects of desire and the source of mystic spirituality.
This talk by Dr Juliet Wood will explore some of these attitudes and consider how well they reflect the actual position of women in Celtic cultures over time.
Dr Juliette Wood is a professional folklorist trained in the United States, but currently living in Britain. She specialises in medieval folklore and Celtic tradition and is interested in the modern revivals of magic and Celticism.
