The Museum will come alive to mark St David’s Day with a mix of performance, music, dragons and giant bouncing sheep on stilts for the whole family to enjoy.

Visitors are encouraged to come along dressed in their best Welsh finery to enjoy a selection of spring time arts and crafts and soak up performances by students from Gower College Swansea and the Cwm Tawe Music Club.

They will also get the chance to see how traditional Welsh love spoons are carved with a live demonstration by the South Wales Woodcarvers Association as well as browse a small craft fair selling traditional welsh-inspired keepsakes.

Other activities include a special dragon procession led by the Dragon Lord.

This magnificent red and gold dragon guarantees hands-on fun for children, young people and adults as he plans to weave his way around the Museum.

The event also supports the City and County of Swansea’s St David’s Week (26 February to 6 March), a week long celebration of the Patron Saint of Wales.

As part of the city-wide event, the Museum will be all lit up in bright red each evening for the duration of the week. For more details visit www.saintdavidsday.com.
