Acquired jointly through The d'Offay Donation with assistance from the National Heritage Memorial Fund and the Art Fund 2008

Scheduled to complement a touring exhibition of work by Joseph Beuys from the ARTIST ROOMS collection and the gallery display 'I Cannot Escape this Place'.

This two-hour event considers the German 20th Century artist Joseph Beuys' interest in the Celtic world and the dynamics around his contribution to the Wrexham Eisteddfod in 1977.

It will combine academic talks with a discussion featuring artists interested in the legacy of Beuys' work in Wales and beyond. Convenors: Dr Heike Roms and Dr Victoria Walters.
