Christmas Fun Day

National Museum & Gallery, Cardiff

Have a wonderful Christmas time at this year's National Museum & Gallery's free, family Christmas Fun Day activities.

  • Tales from the Washing Line — On the Other Hand Puppet Theatre Company will perform a magical puppet show that explores the theme of recycling through the tales of a 'litterbug' Eskimo and Horace the lonely dustbin.
  • Festive music by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama brass quintet
  • Design your own Christmas card inspired by the snowy landscapes of Turner's watercolours currently on show in the Turner in north Wales, 1799 exhibition
  • Christmas legends come to life in the bilingual storytelling
  • The Flying Buttresses — meet the enchanting pint sized pair of puppets with larger than life personalities
  • VIP guest — Father Christmas

The museum will also serve mince pies and mulled wine in the coffee shop and restaurant.
