Graffiti wall

To co-incide with the Music theme which ran at all National Museum Wales sites during 2009, St Fagans National History Museum commisioned Roxe Foundation to create a graffiti wall.

They investigated the collections, and designed four panels which spelt CERDD ('cerdd' is 'music' in Welsh), with each letter containing a musical instrument — guitar, keyboard, saxophone, speakers and harp. The artwork was displayed outside Oriel 1 throughout 2009, and is now in the collections.

They were also invited to display their objects in the Community Dresser. These are some of the objects displayed, and extracts from interviews conducted with the director, Lou Lockwood, and the artists, who wished to remain anomynous.
