The National Slate Museum will be closed on 27, 28,29,30, 31 May and 1,3, 4 & 5 June. It will be open on 2 June (11am – 4pm) with limited services. There will be access to the exhibition areas, film, engineering workshops and machinery.
Easter - End of October: 10.00am - 5.00pm, daily.
Beginning of November - Easter: 10.00am - 4.00pm, closed Saturdays.

National Slate Museum welcomes group visits and aims to provide an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Year round demonstrations and talks particularly suited to families include slate splitting demonstrations by our friendly quarrymen and talks about UNA the quarry engine — where you can see how an engine actually works.
Ample parking nearby, for cars and coaches. Please note there is a charge for the carpark
