Community Volunteering

Volunteers

Community volunteering is a great way to help your local community while getting your group to work as part of a team. In the past we have welcomed community volunteers from different community groups, local charities and social societies. These groups of volunteers have helped the Museum with large projects such as gardening, farm work and even the organisation and processing of archival materials.

If you have an interest in our Community Volunteering opportunities please write an email to our Volunteer Co-ordinator (volunteering@museumwales.ac.uk) stating the following:

  • Name of organisation
  • Dates available to volunteer (please allow at least 4-6 weeks’ notice)
  • Preferred Museum (within National Museum Wales)
  • Any specific activities you have in mind or would like to do

We can’t guarantee to offer everyone a volunteering opportunity, but we will endeavour to accommodate you as best as we can. For further details please contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator (volunteering@museumwales.ac.uk).
