Serious Brain Power
Explore the extraordinary variety of research undertaken at Cardiff University with the Serious Brain Power exhibition at National Museum Cardiff.
Research at Cardiff University pushes back the frontiers of knowledge and understanding all over the world. This exhibition showcases individual projects with large colour photographs from all 29 schools within the institution.
Bringing together 43 images made up of photographs, drawings and computer generated images, they represent the variety and benefits of research taking place in every academic school.
From striking images of microneedles from the School of Pharmacy to an image of the white matter fibre pathways in the human brain from the School of Psychology, the exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to see images illustrating the breadth of research from all parts of Cardiff University.
Serious Brain Power is installed in the science exhibitions space, at the back of the Whale Gallery at National Museum Cardiff until 31 March 2009.
Thanks to collaboration with various partners, projects like these produce real benefits both locally and worldwide. Research in all academic schools is acknowledged by independent assessors as work of national and international significance, annually attracting top researchers to Cardiff from around the world.
This exhibition reflects the Museum’s aspiration to become a venue for promoting scientific research throughout Wales.
