“I wanted to make an art that was the visual equivalent of pop music”

Peter Blake was a pioneer of the Pop Art movement in Britain in the 1950s and 1960s and is often referred to as the Godfather of the British Pop.  His work reflects his fascination with popular culture and music.  The talk will examine his place in the Pop Art Movement.

This talk will be followed by a screening at 2.30pm of the film “The Edge of Love” (2008).
