Europe’s Cosmic Explorers

Dr Chris North, School of Physics and Astronomy, Cardiff University

Two of Europe’s cosmic explorers, the Herschel Space Observatory and the Planck Satellite, have revolutionised our understanding of the formation of stars, galaxies and the Universe. Dr North will outline the major results and their implications.
