Dylan Thomas: A Solitary Mister
Talk by Peter Read exploring Dylan’s contribution to Literature.
‘A Solitary Mister’ comes from Thomas’ poem “Hunchback in the Park” but could easily refer to his own life.
He fought for recognition as a writer always trying to find the solitary path which would mark him out from everyone else.
So often he was aware of two possibilities and catapulted from one to the other. Was he Welsh or English? Did he love Caitlin or Liz Reitel? Should he write poetry or drama?
