Event: Waterfront Book Club
Celebrating Black History month, this month's book To Kill a Mockingbird, is a universal tale of prejudice, deep inequalities and humanity.
Set in the backdrop of the Great Depression, this perennial reading group favorite, written by Harper Lee, combines serious issues with a charming coming-of-age story. Giving readers plenty of issues to stimulate discussion.
The session will start with an introduction about the author from our chair Margaret Z Jones, who will then lead us into a discussion allowing the group to share opinions and talking points.
A great way to spend an enjoyable Sunday afternoon… with a free cuppa included!
